Reptile Village
Reptile Village is a government licensed reptile exhibit, providing an educational and entertaining view of various reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Displays range of alligators to pythons, geckos to giant spiders, and everything in between. This is an indoor facility with a small souvenir shop. Open 7 days a week, 10am-6pm.

Birdwatch Ireland, Kilkenny Branch
The Kilkenny branch of Birdwatch Ireland organises regular outings to places such as the Wexford Slobs and local woods, as well as slideshows, talks and quizzes.
Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre
Located 11km from Kilkenny City, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre is a deep, worked-out quarry. The Amphitheatre holds a variety of events over the summer months from puppet theatre to Mozart, treasure trails to traditional music, the massed ranks of the Garda Band to solo performers. A stunning setting, coupled with near-perfect natural acoustics, make a performance at Ballykeeffe a must-see event for locals and visitors alike.
Kilkenny Chamber
In business for business. Kilkenny Chamber is the largest business representative organisation in Kilkenny City and County, with over 280 member companies employing 6,000 people. Kilkenny Chamber’s mission is to make Kilkenny a better place to do business. Chamber is a membership-driven organisation. Chamber provides networking opportunities, training, information and lobbying on business issues. New members welcome.
Plato Ireland is the business support forum for owner managers of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Through a unique partnership with large "parent" companies, Plato provides SMEs with facilitated group learning, specialist expertise and advice, networking opportunities, business development training and cross border activities.
Kilkenny Photographic Society
The primary aim of the Society, through its many activities, is to improve the photographic skills and techniques of its members. It provides a showcase for amateur photographers through exhibitions, talks and competitions. It also acts as a social focus where those with a shared interest in photography can meet. Meetings held fortnightly on Thursdays, 8pm. Membership is open at any time to anyone with an interest in any type or aspect of photography.
Annual membership is free for children under 14 yrs, €6 for children and students over 14 yrs, €15 for adults and €25 for families. Internet access is free to library members - booking is advisable. There is a €3 charge for non-members per ½ hour session. Information for local studies is available at Library Headquarters, John’s Green House, Kilkenny.
Kilkenny Liberal Studies Group
This group offers a programme of lectures and cultural activities covering literature, history, music, poetry and art history. Classes run September to April on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Lecturers are experienced in their field and include a published poet, museum curator and a member of Opera Ireland.
