Kilkenny Water Safety
Classes offered in water safety and resuscitation, September to May.  Lifeguard courses, January to March. Monday between 7pm and 10pm (sessions are 2 hours). Suitable for children from age 13 yrs Must have basic swimming ability.

River Swimming
From July 1st to August 31st lifeguards are on duty from 2.30pm to 5.30pm and 6.30pm to 8.30pm at river locations around the County. These are: Graiguenamanagh, Inistioge - boat slip, Kilkenny - Bishops Meadows and The Weir on the Bleach Rd, Thomastown - the Mill.
